Smith's Bar & Grill serves lunch daily from noon. The dining room overlooks the Grand Union Canal in Paddington Basin, a two-minute walk from Paddington Station — calm enough for a working lunch, comfortable enough to actually enjoy it.
The set lunch menu — Monday to Friday:
Monday to Friday from noon until 4pm, the set menu offers two courses for £26 or three for £29. It draws from the same kitchen as the full evening à la carte — the same Head Chef David Reyes, the same sourcing, the same technique — at a pace that fits a working day.
Starters include in-house smoked salmon with whipped crème fraîche, beef carpaccio with Dijon mustard, parmigiana with mozzarella and parmesan, and homemade soup of the day. Mains cover baby chicken marinated with lemon and thyme, steak and chips, sea bass fillet with fennel and anchovy vinaigrette, and ricotta and spinach ravioli. Desserts: quinoa crème brûlée, churros with hazelnut chocolate sauce, chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream.
The full à la carte:
The complete menu runs alongside the set lunch on every day of the week — including Saturday and Sunday. If you want to go further, the full à la carte covers all starters, mains and the tasting menu format is also available at weekday lunch for groups on request.
Private and business lunches:
Private tables and semi-private dining for business lunches are available on request. The Regent Parlour seats up to 10 guests for a discreet working lunch; the Regent Room accommodates up to 60. For larger bookings, contact the events team directly.
