Easter

Easter at Smith's

Easter lunch above the Grand Union Canal, in Paddington Central.

Four days, and we are open across all of them. Good Friday for fish, Easter Saturday for brunch, Easter Sunday for the roast, and Easter Monday to finish the weekend properly.

Easter Sunday Roast

Easter Sunday is a roast day, and ours is bottomless. British grass-fed beef picanha, free-range chicken, slow-cooked pork belly, lamb, or a vegetarian parcel, with duck-fat roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, seasonal greens, roasted roots and gravy. Brought to the table until you ask us to stop.

Order individually, or take a sharing platter to the middle of the table, which is what most families do.

Good Friday

Fish, cooked properly. Beer-battered haddock with chunky chips, cod with beurre blanc, char-grilled salmon, whole sea bass, and Maldon rock oysters at the bar. The full a la carte runs alongside it.

Easter Saturday

Bottomless brunch from 11am to 4pm, with live music. Eggs Benedict, Royale and Florentine, crab pancakes, a full English, and sweet pancakes to finish.

Bringing the Family

Children are welcome across the whole weekend and we have high chairs. The kitchen will happily do smaller portions, and there is a vegetarian roast that people order by choice rather than necessity.

For a larger family gathering, the private dining rooms seat up to 60.

Book Early

Easter Sunday is one of the busiest days of our year, tables go weeks ahead, so book now rather than in Holy Week.

Where

25 Sheldon Square, Paddington Central, London W2 6EY, on the terrace above the Grand Union Canal. A short walk from Paddington Station, five minutes from Paddington Basin, and nine along the towpath from Little Venice. Step-free throughout. Full directions on the Find Us page.

If the weather is kind, the terrace will be open.
