New Year's Eve 2026 Dinner and Party in Paddington

Updated October 2026 with this year's prices and menu.

On Thursday 31 December 2026, Smith's Bar & Grill at Paddington Central hosts a five-course New Year's Eve dinner with a canapé and fizz reception, live music, a magician and an MC, then a DJ until 3am. Choose an early dinner from 6.30pm, a late dinner that takes you through midnight, or a table in the bar. Prices start at £40 for bar entry and £100 for an early bird dinner.

Early Dinner Seating, 6.30pm to 9pm

  • £120 per person (early bird £100): canapé reception with a glass of fizz and the five-course dinner.
  • £160 per person (early bird £130): dinner, plus bottomless drinks until 9pm.

Early bird prices are available until 30 November. After dinner, move to the party area from 9pm, when the DJ starts.

Late Dinner and Party Seating, 9.30pm to 3am

  • £170 per person: canapé reception with a glass of fizz and the five-course dinner.
  • £200 per person: dinner, plus bottomless drinks until 12.30am.
  • £250 per person: dinner, plus bottomless drinks until 3am.

Dinner, the countdown to midnight, then dancing until 3am.

Just the Party

If you would rather skip dinner and come for the countdown, the party area opens at 9pm with the DJ. Party tickets and party tables are separate from the dinner seatings in the restaurant. Dinner guests come through to join you after their meal.

  • Party entry: £40 per person, including one drink, from 9pm.
  • Party table for 4 to 6 guests: £250 per table, including a bottle of spirits with soft drinks and the table is yours for the rest of the night. Choose your bottle when you book: Bombay gin, Bacardi rum, Jack Daniel's whiskey, Grey Goose vodka or Jose Cuervo tequila.

Live Music, Magician and DJ

The Blue Loop Duo plays until midnight. They are a guitar and vocal act known for looping and harmonies, playing soul, rock and pop and you hear them at both dinner seatings. A magician works the room until midnight, an MC hosts dinner and the DJ plays until 3am.

Dress code: party-ready. Think sleek, stylish and NYE-worthy.

Five courses, served at both seatings.

Amuse-bouche

  • Tuna taquitos: soy dressing with onion, ginger, coriander and sesame seeds

Starters

  • Burrata (V): in tomato sauce with capers, pesto, semi-dried tomatoes, olive crumble and basil
  • Parmigiana (V): fried aubergine baked in a rich tomato sauce with mozzarella and parmesan
  • Scallops: pan-fried, with Jerusalem artichoke purée and veal jus
  • Beef carpaccio: thinly sliced, with Dijon mayo

Middle course

  • Beef croquettes: beef short rib with jalapeño sauce

Mains

  • Roasted cod: clam chowder and rainbow chard
  • Rib-eye steak: gratin potatoes and red wine jus
  • Wild mushroom risotto (V): rich mushroom broth, parmesan and parsley
  • Lamb cutlets: celeriac purée, spinach and red wine jus

Desserts

  • Chocolate fondant: with vanilla ice cream
  • Rum baba: spiced rum syrup, citrus zest and vanilla
  • Vanilla Basque cheesecake: with passion fruit sauce
  • Tiramisù: fresh mascarpone cream, savoiardi, Italian coffee and cocoa

Bottomless drinks are white wine, red wine, sparkling wine and half pints of draught beer, for guests who book a bottomless package. Vegetarian options and allergen information are available on request.
